Spot is another of Eachann’ s playmates. He is a one year old collie and lives at Dalmakerran. There is always a lot of chasing about and growling but they are very good friends.

This is Robin, a very friendly village cat. Unfortunately, I could not get my phone out quick enough to get a picture of Robin rubbing himself up and down Eachann’s tummy!

A Visit to Crawick Multiverse

In September we visited Crawick Multiverse, which is situated near Sanquar only 16 miles from Tynron. Designed by famous landscape artist and sculptor Charles Jencks this old open cast coal mine has been transformed into an amazing ‘other worldy’ landscape. Well worth a visit, it’s open all year round. http;//www.crawickmultiverse.co.uk

Eachann goes visiting.

Eachann on a visit to his girlfriend, Lulla. Lulla lives just below the top of Auchengibbert Hill where there are wonderful views of the surrounding hills. Auchengibbert Hill is 372 metres high and classified as a ‘tump’ (300-399m), a small rounded hill.  Views from the top  take in Nithsdale and the Lowther Hills.

A walk to Shinnel Head

From home it is five miles to the start of Appin Forest, which is where the glen road turns into a track. Shinnel Head is about two miles further on. Apart from evidence of forestry work there is nothing there but nature and it is quite a spooky destination for a late afternoon autumn walk.   … More A walk to Shinnel Head
